About JobFocus
An independent UK job-search tool, built by someone who needed it. Here is who runs it, how it works, and how the guides are written.
Why JobFocus exists
JobFocus started as a personal tool. Karthikeyan K, a Test Architect by trade, was looking for a new role and got tired of the same listing on five boards, a CV rewritten from scratch for every application, and no clear picture of which roles were worth the effort.
The tool that came out of that search pulls live roles into one feed, scores each one against your CV, and helps you tailor the CV for the roles worth applying to. It is now open to anyone, and it is still built and run by one person.
What it will and won't do
- It reads live roles in the UK from public job boards and employers' own careers pages, and shows you where each one came from.
- It never applies for you. The Apply button opens the employer's own page, and you send the application yourself.
- A tailored CV is never sent anywhere until you have read it. You review every change before you download it.
How the guides are written
The guides are written for people in the middle of a job hunt, from what Karthikeyan K learned in one. Drafts are written with the help of an AI writing assistant, then checked, edited and published by Karthikeyan K. Nothing is published without that review.
Each guide shows the date its text last changed. Where a guide mentions JobFocus, it says so in a box labelled "How JobFocus helps", so the advice and the product are never mixed together.

How JobFocus uses AI
AI does the reading and drafting: it matches roles against your CV and suggests wording for a tailored version. It works only from what your CV already says. It doesn't invent experience, skills or results, and you review the result before you use it.
